SHELTOWEE TRAIL RIDE​

Do not follow GPS once on State Route 141!

Drive slow on County Road 8--rough road and sharp curves. Watch for children, animals and farmers.

 

From the North: GPS to Chillicothe, Take 23 S . Take 823 S to 52 E (16 miles). Take exit for 141 E. Travel 13.25 miles turn LEFT onto County Rd. 8 (Aid Cemetery in Aid, Ohio sits above road.) Take County Rd. 8, Six (6) miles up to camp. Follow ELKINS CREEK Signs. NOTE: COUNTY ROAD 8 MERGES STRAIGHT INTO COUNTY ROAD 5 in ~3 MILES. Continue straight onto County Rd. 5 for 2.5 miles slight right onto Twp. Rd. 245 EAST (LOOK FOR SIGN) ELKINS CREEK HORSE CAMP AND TACK SHOP, LLC (old western style building with barns) second place on the left.

From the South: GPS to Ironton, Ohio. Take exit for 141 E. Travel 13.25 miles turn LEFT onto County Rd. 8 (Aid Cemetery in Aid, Ohio sits above road.) Take County Rd. 8, Six (6) miles up to camp. Follow ELKINS CREEK Signs. NOTE: COUNTY ROAD 8 MERGES STRAIGHT INTO COUNTY ROAD 5 in ~3 MILES. Continue straight onto County Rd. 5 for 2.5 miles slight right onto Twp. Rd. 245 EAST (LOOK FOR SIGN) ELKINS CREEK HORSE CAMP AND TACK SHOP, LLC (old western style building with barns) second place on the left.

FROM  I-64 (Lexington,  KY)

To KY 67 N/Industrial Parkway
Right on US 23 
Left on Oakley Clark Collins Memorial Bridge (at Russel, KY to Ironton, OH) DON'T TURN INTO THE TUNNEL. TRAILERS WILL NOT FIT!

Continue on to 2nd St in Ironton, Oh .3 miles
Right on Park Ave 1.0 miles
Right on to US 52 East .3 mile
Exit for 141 East 

Left onto OH 141 East  ~13.25 mile turn
Left on Co Rd 8 (Aid Cemetery sits above it, if you get to Symmes Valley Schools parking lot turn around!)

Take County Rd. 8, Six (6) miles up to camp. Follow ELKINS CREEK Signs.
NOTE: COUNTY ROAD 8 MERGES STRAIGHT INTO COUNTY ROAD 5 ~3 MILES. 
Continue straight onto County Rd. 5 and slight right onto Twp. Rd. 245 EAST (LOOK FOR SIGN)  ELKINS CREEK HORSE CAMP AND TACK SHOP, LLC (old western style building with barns) second place on the left.

FROM  I-64 (Barboursville, WV)

US 60 to Proctorville Ohio
Right Route OH 7 South ~1 mile
Right OH 243 towards Collins Career Center approx. 9 miles 
Merge Straight onto OH 378 approx 9 miles to 141 (you will share a short piece with 217 be sure to stay to  OH 378 to OH 141)
Right onto OH 141 East ~1 mile turn
Left on Co Rd 8 (Aid Cemetary sits above it, if you get to Symmes Valley Schools parking lot turn around!)

Take County Rd. 8, Six (6) miles up to camp. Follow ELKINS CREEK Signs.
NOTE: Co Rd 8 MERGES STRAIGHT INTO Co Rd 5 ~3 MILES cont. on 5 for 2.5 miles, slight right onto Twp Rd 245 EAST (look for sign)
